Two ideas that I put out there to shut up the "We-must-raise-taxes-now" crowd:
TARP. Yes, that highly effective program put out there by the son of Mr. Read-My-Lips, has approximately $200-billion in unspent money.
That's almost one month of interest payments right there.
Obamacare. They hate it when I call it Obamacare and insist that I refer to it as the Affordable Care Act, which is why I still refer to it as Obamacare.
$105-billion in new expenditures right there. Abolish Obamacare, remove those expenditures.
Pretty simple math.
That, along with the other idea above will definitely put on country back on the right track.
Will any of this ever happen?
Sadly, no. At least not with this bunch of yahoos in charge.
What passes for republican "leadership" is apparently as enamored in the Cloward-Piven strategy as the democratic leadership.
Had the republican "leadership" at the federal level actually followed through with their pledge (page 33), not only would just about everything above be gone, but they wouldn't be pushing the panic button right now with this made-up debt ceiling crisis.
The money would still be there.
