    Convention (none / 0) (#2)

I am interested to hear why a convention would lead to a RINO result. I'm thinking back to last summer, when (it appeared to me, anyway) that the votes were there to drop Calley as L.G., but it didn't happen because of lack of coordination and mis-communication. Would a convention be controlled by establishment types? Is there no way to overcome that? It seems evident that if conservatives can get their act together and do some pre-event planning, a good outcome is plausible.
You would think that stopping Romney would be a goal on which everyone would see eye to eye. Maybe it isn't possible to get tea parties across the state to agree to a coordinated strategy?

    One other option (none / 0) (#3)

.... which was presented at an informational seminar I attended a little while ago was simultaneous conventions at the county level. The cost to the party was expected to be less than one central convention, and it allows all delegates to vote, not just those elected to go to state. Votes would be totalled up across the state, and the winner gets the nomination.
