While I somewhat agree with Scales I see Mr. McMillan on this site making his case and I appreciate that he takes the time to see what we think.  What is and has happened in Michigan as I see it is new lawmakers going to Lansing and falling into the same old trap that got us in this mess.  We have a chance to change some old habits and the new blood just can't seem to muster a little back bone to stop the bleeding.  As we all know the wheels of change in government happens at a snails pace.  It is just that we are extremely frustrated at the pace and the excuses that are given for the slow reform. If the new lawmakers want to get things done they need to stand up and be bold instead of the wimpering we hear.

We need lots of Chris Christie's in this Michigan environment.  Straight and blunt talk about the problems that plague this state.  Not the wishy washy, beat around the bush, don't offend anyone legal speak we get from our representatives and our pretend to be a conservative governor.  We don't like it - period.

Mr. McMillan explained what has happened with this legislation and I appreciate that.  But his explanation is exactly what we are angry about.  Scales is venting his opinion about that anger.  What is sad is there is not more of it.  Perhaps when our representatives are given the heave ho time after time because of their inability to produce common sense legislation that benefits the people and this state NOW, then maybe they will get it.
