Who are the NERD fund donors Mr Snyder?

    Raise the curtain.

    Rethinking the math . . . (none / 0) (#26)

. . . I realize that I also need to eliminate Moore and Roemer, who aren't yet officially in the race.

So okay then, including McCotter only 8 credible candidates officially in the race for the 2012 republican POTUS nomination, with Perry and Palin still not officially in the pool.

I like McCotter for a number of reasons.  But he is wasting his time.  Little name recognition outside of Michigan to speak of, sets it up as a loss.

Unless he thinks he has a message not already advanced by any of the candidates, I would hope he considers maybe a run for Senate or something.

But not pres.  Especially considering this

    I am curious . . . (none / 0) (#36)

. . . however, as to why, if Rep. McCotter is so damned serious about challenging for the 2012 republican POTUS nomination, then did the State House Republicans go out of their way (read: "gerrymander") to preserve his ability to retain his congressional seat for the next ten years?

HB-4780 went from "introduced" in the House to "ordered enrolled" after Senate approval in just under two weeks time.  This, in face of the overwhelming testimony provided in both the House and Senate redistricting committees opposing this map as it's currently drawn.  (Pull up all the testimony from every session of both committees to see what I mean.)

For the purposes of this thread, let's not get into the discussion of the relative merit or lack thereof of the proposed congressional reapportionment.  (That should be a whole other article unto itself.)  Let's just think about one question:  Why bother to protect a congressional seat when the congressman in question has decided that he's running for president?

    Just asking.
