Are you talking about jobs such as janitorial and bus drivers? How would outsourcing these jobs save the district money? Has anyone considered what would happen if the janitorial staff is not invested in the school district? Or the bus drivers? I am not positive, and frankly I don't have time to investigate right now, but I have heard that other districts that have outsourced their janitorial services have had an increase in thefts. Also, who is going to make sure that these people are not sex offenders? Are the companies that take over the hiring of these people going to do everything in their power to protect our children? Probably not, as they will not be invested in the school district, only in the monetary gain on their end.

Again, as a concerned parent, these are the questions I ask. I know where my tax dollars go, to decent, hardworking people who CARE about my kids and who have dedicated their life to their mission of putting the children first.
