Why would those carrying the torch of the gay lobby bother to listen to the words you say or pay attention to the context in which they were uttered?  It is a lot easier for them to create a whole dialog for you and then hang it around your neck.  

They can take some of your words, twist them, splash them in another context, and in essence create a whole new string of words that they can attribute to you.  

For which, of course, you are now GUILTY!
