I've yet to hear a solid answer on why Michigan republicans were willing accomplices on the multiple tax hikes sought by (and granted) to the guv.
I guess that part about "practicing fiscal responsibility and allow individuals to keep more of the money they earn" only makes for good copy. Actually putting it into practice is just too darn hard to really do.
On why they have been strangely silently on the expansion of state government (i.e. mandating of autism coverage, collection of health data from residents, requirement of personal information before purchasing an OTC product and my personal fav implementing the Obamacare exchange)?
I can only surmise that whole "The best government is that which governs least," is for those who only look at party affiliations at election time, and not at their actual voting record.
Or why they haven't been more vocal about a republican governor who is more than willing to use taxpayer dollars to directly compete against a Michigan Businessman?
Free enterprise and encouraging individual initiative? Is that only when it doesn't run counter to the goals of the party standard bearer?
