Bill Schuette watches over the family fortune on the boards of the Rollin M. Gerstacker
and the Elsa U. Pardee foundations.63 He serves as Vice President of the Rollin M. Gerstacker
Foundation64 and is a trustee of the Elsa U. Pardee Foundation; 65 He also serves on the Board of
Trustees of Albion College and the Visiting Committee of the Gerald R. Ford Institute at Albion
College; Bill is also a board member of the Education Freedom Fund and a Fellow of the
Michigan State Bar Foundation.66

And then...
 After leaving the bench to run for Attorney General, Shuette joined Warner, Norcross,
and Judd, controvery followed him after he refused to disclose his "secret legal and lobbying
clients"55 "What is Bill Schuette hiding? Schuette claims he is for transparency and openness, but
has failed his first test, claiming that he has secret clients. The voters deserve to know his conflicts
of interest before the election. We can't have an Attorney General who secretly works for oil
companies, insurance companies, polluters and many others instead of Michigan and its
people."56 At a minimum, the firm represents Dow Chemical.57 It has been alleged that, "Bill
Schuette has been in the pockets of Big Oil, Wall Street, and other special interests throughout
his entire career."58
