Mike Bouchard was as responsible as either Cox OR Hoekstra, and maybe more so.  He never polled over 14 points and was an obvious 8 going into the last days.

Though 8 points is not on its face enough to overcome the 11 points Snyder overcame his nearest, a drop and push by Bouchard to one of the top two candidates would have had a tipping effect and made all the difference in the world.

Cox or Hoekstra were too close to each other to concede ANYTHING, but Bouchard had to know he couldn't do it towards the end.
