      The latest Dem gambit is to claim that most of what is in the "new" Obama bill is what the GOP used to want, and that current protests are simply politically motivated.

      Their proof?

      Kaiser Health put out a chart on their website, comparing Lincoln Chafee's 1993 health care proposal with current proposals:  http://www.kaiserhealthnews.org/Graphics/2010/022310-Bill-comparison.aspx

      And, what ya know, ole Chafee's bill is remarkably like the current Obamacare proposals!

      Of course, any resemblance, either past or present, between Chafee and the average Republican are purely accidental.  However, that doesn't stop my liberal friends from using this chart to "prove" that the GOP is just a bunch of politically-motivated hacks who simply want to regain power on the backs of dead babies (or something like that)
