As for west UP Michigan, we have 40 years of history up there along with a family camp.  I have seen the dreams of prospective business owners go by the wayside with major projects being abandoned JUST when they would reach their conclusions of success.  I am well aware of who populates CD1.  Good people, both Democrat and Republican who want their country back.  Stupak violated their trust, and he knew it. That is why he isn't part of the future.

As to it being a minor part in the play?  'Academic' is not accurate at all.  We need EVERY VOTE for the people we can get in this next congress.  we don't have the luxury of making a point here.  THAT is something you need to grasp.
