    But isn't it rather strange that DHS has plenty of time to investigate this but not enough time to actually protect children that are at risk. How many children have been killed from abuse because the CPS division has failed time and again to do it's job? I believe we are up to eight at last count. I know from experience that when CPS is alerted to an issue they could care less. Having reported this sort of thing myself. The so called investigator arrived at the home ( three weeks after the report was made), never went inside, never asked to see the children and just chatted with the man of the house for the grand total of five minutes. The State Police and Sheriffs department had also reported these individuals and CPS did the same marvolous job. I guess it depends on the priorities set by the powers that be and that would I believe be the Governor. My question to her is has anyone been fired in any of these cases where abuse was reported and children died as a result of CPS incompetence? From what I know that answer to that question is no.
