      Oh, I don't take it personally any more.  I realize now, after many years of making certain to never say anything that might be misinterpreted, that the charge of racism is used as a political tool.

      It is a tool fashioned to pound scared Americans into silence and stifle debate.

      So, I agree not to take it personally, that is, as long as the lying bastards that use the tool don't take it personally when I call them what they are.  

      As far as giving them a pass on not knowing what they do...I think they know exactly what they are doing.
