    What about Joe Lieberman? He crossed parties, as Milliken did. I can't believe real conservatives would defend President George W. Bush; he certainly wasn't a conservative. Milliken especially took issue with Bush's foreign policy, which any good paleoconservative would oppose. Milliken still voted for John McCain in November, though he had some reservations about it. How many other conservatives didn't have reservations about voting for McCain? I'm not saying Milliken is a conservative, but I think it's a little hypocritical to criticize him. Sure he is a moderate and sure there are issues I disagree with him on, but he also stands for a lot of things that I agree with and I supported him when he was governor of Michigan. You don't become Michigan's longest serving governor unless you have some skill, which is more skill and political talent than many in today's Michigan Republican Party. I also wonder how many of you would support Gerald Ford today? I would.
