      a conspiracy theory you have working BruceB. According to you, it was poor black folks and Dem politicians who destroyed the US Economy. By your accounting, none of the following are to blame:

      • Executives at AIG who insured financial instruments made up of sub-prime mortgages even when those execs. knew they were made up almost entirely of sub-prime loans.
      • Executives at Wall Street Investment firms and hedge funds who knowingly or unwittingly took on massive risk in the hopes of scoring big profits.
      • Banks, lenders, mortgage officers, etc. who deliberately ignored or falsified loan information.
      • Bernie Madoff.
      • Greedy upper class homeowners in Republican enclaves like Irvine, CA who engaged in HELOC abuse to finance lifestyles of the Rich and Famous.
      • Real estate speculators in places like Miami Beach.
      • The Republican Party which endorsed increasing home ownership in the National Party platform.
      • President George W. Bush who was in office for 8 years.
      • Republicans in Congress who had control of both houses of Congress between 2002 - 2006.

      Nope, it was poor black folks trying to buy a home and Democrats who were responsible. Nice revisionist history.
