      ... too much of the statewide outrage over this is due to the Fox News-driven hysteria over the whole "sexoffender" concept.  We've allowed ourselves as a society to go nuts over this legally-created, frighteningly expansive term, and treat "sexoffenders" as subhumans in the bargain.  "Sexoffenders" include everything from serial rapists to the guy someone saw taking a whiz by the side of the road.  As conservatives, we need to distinguish between the need for enforceable laws and mindless mob-think.  Maybe every society needs some identifiable group it can treat like dirt with some belief in its own righteousness, but I ain't falling for it.
