The DN has it right in yesterday's editorial as far as the New Haven decision goes, but should have lead off the comment above with GOVERNMENT.  It's indeed immoral and illegal for any governmental body to discriminate based on race.  But the bizarre idea that government then has the authority to forbid individuals and private businesses from doing so is a wrong we conservatives have gone wobbly on over the decades.  The Civil Rights Act of 1964 - wrong 45 years ago, wrong now.
