      ...check out this story ran on Channel 7 here in Detroit last night (the story that ran last night is in the box in the UR-corner).

      Reader's Digest version for those on a tight schedule: There is a cancellation clause in the contract with the developer for the "needed" MSP HQ (Art.11) that allows the state to back out w/o penalty.

      The MSP already have a HQ, and didn't really ask for or wanted a new HQ. So this appears to be a no-brainer.

      Unfortunately ,the 800# gorilla in the room that people (read: Michigan democrats) are afraid of is the guv's close friend (and one of the developers of this white elephant): Joel Ferguson.
