      . . . the original application (reconstructive surgery following cancer surgery) and the fact that it's using the woman's own stem cells harvested from body fat, this is probably perfectly acceptable within that context.

      I know a few women who've actually donated the breast tissue from their reduction surgeries to other women who've used it for post-cancer-surgery reconstruction.  Not something that most of us think of, but apparently it happens all the time.

      As I said in the original post, so long as no embryos are being harvested for this, I'm not sure there's a downside.
