This is a group blog with a community of very different voices from across the State of Michigan.

Personally, I think bankruptcy is probably the best solution at this point, since the UAW has proven they aren't interested in making concessions and $73.50 an hour is as untenable today as it was yesterday with the foreign autos down south only paying out around $20.

That said, that'd be an awfully painful experience for tens of thousands of Michiganders and so I'm more willing than some might think to listen to creative solutions.

But that's MY take.  Eric T's is obviously very different.  And yours is different from both of ours.
