Nowhere in our Constitution does it say anything even remotely close to having our federal government doling out money to people who have been affected by the financial downturn.

I don't care if you're AIG, ANYONE from Wall Street or even the B3.

For the record, if you're curious, Congress' powers are enumerated under Article 1, Section 8 of the US Constitution.

They apparently forgotten about Article 1, Section 9 as well, but I'll save that for another discussion.

Now, if Congress actually adhered to those CLEARLY enumerated duties, an income tax would never have become necessary, to say nothing about the tax deductions/incentives/subsidies you've cited above.

So ask youself: Do you want to be a free individual or do you want to be someone's slave?
