      Small quibble with a point here:
      Nofs is a solid conservative

      It's just not true.

      The RLC-MI ranked legislators from 2007-2008, and Nofs wound up tied for second-most liberal Republican on economic issues (trailing only Gaffney the tax hiker), and tied for the most authoritarian overall when it came to personal liberty issues.
