      The post states it will be funded by private investors, but when it doesn't generate enough money to continue to operate and the company goes belly up, the state will have to step in and fund it.

      Look at the Smart bus system in Detroit, its primary funding comes from the government, this light rail system, could easily end up the same way. With the Smart bus, you can at least get real close to where you need to go.
