      Pay? Yes. (none / 0) (#4)

Add back the pomp and circumstance of "the real world," and it may be true that we have to collect those taxes ... but as a "principle," this prescription is as un-American as one can get.

What I meant by the above quote, is that yes, what is, is ... the taxes need to be paid/collected, and I don't recommend anyone try otherwise.  We are in agreement.

I'm talking about principle, foundation, bedrock, our philosophical roots ...  The American Creed!

Nothing of significance will ever change until we Americans, starting with us conservative Americans, start taking the creed of individual liberty to heart, live by it, and vote accordingly ... Because this changes the perspective from which we view things, particularly politics, and that's what changes everything.

PS - When Jesus was asked if it was right to pay taxes, He did not say "yes," but instead said "give to Caesar what is Caesar's and unto God what is God's."

If Jesus was trying to teach us that we should fork up whatever Caesar claims, He would have simply said "yes," but He didn't.  Instead, He begged the question "what is Caesars?"

Yet here we are today, asking the same question ... what IS Caesars?  or in our case, Uncle Sam's?
