The post is not about the issue of... (none / 0) (#9)

what benefits for legislators are. In fact, when I initially did the research to see what compensation was, I do not recall the "lifetime" benefits you claim; rather, I seem to recall they were hooked into time in service, but I did not deem to look it up again because that is not the crux of the post. To make it about that is beside the point. I generalized about fair compensation, not an all-or-nothing prospect. What possibly could motivate you to make something out of a side point? In fact, when you make a claim, you really need to substantiate it when it is presented as fact. Therefore, if you want to debate that issue then do so without slandering me. Perhaps you should support your claims, which by the way, sound very unrealistic and unreasonable (the very definition of class-envy-warfare). Why don't you provide proof of what you claim instead of making unfair judgements about others. THEN we can talk about that issue. Meantime, stick to the matter at hand, instead of making some kind of misrepresentative assumptions about a patriot you don't know. Obviously, you don't understand my post, though you seem to agree with it, which is odd. In other words, you miss the side points and the overall point, since it isn't stated as you would, it seems.
