    In too much of government today, value is only measured by the pinpointed effect it will have on a very small community or state.  It is called brinin' home the bacon.

    This is how donor states like Michigan help to build bike paths in Vermont and how taxpayers in Alabama help to foot the bill for this sort of idiocy in Michigan.  It all works out though because taxpayers in Vermont have to help pay for improvements at Blakeley State Park.

    Don't worry though, it is all federal money so it doesn't even hurt the state budget!  We are such suckers.
