    I was more thinking along the lines of, "this means we should invest aggressively in energy efficiency and renewable power, manage peak load demand, establish a competitive integrated resource planning system to level the playing field currently tilted in favor of coal and replace existing old coal plants (when necessary) with the cleanest new coal technologies we can find."

    Then we can talk about ANWR. As an aside, as far as I know there's no coal in ANWR though, nor do Andy Dillon or Mike Bishop or Bruce Patterson have much say over ANWR....but they have legislation on their tables that can protect ratepayers from skyrocketing coal costs right now. (Oh, and help the environment too, of course!)
