    1.4    Abortion

Recognizing that abortion is a sensitive issue and that people can hold good-faith views on all sides, we believe that government should be kept out of the matter, leaving the question to each person for their conscientious consideration.

    On the Issues

Abortion is a woman's choice and does not concern the state
Recognizing that abortion is a sensitive issue and that libertarians can hold good-faith views on both sides, we believe the government should be kept out of the question. We condemn state-funded abortions. It is particularly harsh to force someone who believes that abortion is murder to pay for another's abortion. It is the right of the woman, not the state, to decide the desirability of prenatal testing, Caesarean births, fetal surgery, and/or home births.  (Libertarian Party Platform, July 2, 2000)

keep in mind that when some of us (not you, of course) were supporting Ron Paul, it was John Galt, among others, who chastised us for expecting a party to hold to 100% adherence on each issue. We were supposed to be reasonable. We were supposed to realize that you can't have everything, so you should support the candidate that best fits your position.

Now, we see John's true colors. His rhetoric was pure unadulterated BS. We see that, if you don't agree with John, you're not welcome in HIS party (I knew that already based on his comments to me in a previous life). And, even though the GOP told all of us libertarians that they were the party of limited government, and then grew the government faster than any other time in history; we pro-life libertarians, who don't believe that government should be funding research (I don't see that in the Constitution), are supposed to be ashamed of ourselves because the Libertarian platform isn't pro-life.

Bob Barr IS pro-life. Always has been. Can that be said of Mitt Romney? And what about embryonic stem-cell research? Wasn't McCain a supporter of such research? Tom Ridge was vetted for a VP choice - pro-abortion. Liebermann, another VP possibility and pro-abortion. We can name others: Olympia Snowe, Arlen Specter, and the president's own mother, as well as NANCY REAGAN! I'd swear but I don't want another spanking from Nick.

People like Galt are limited in the way they can discuss subjects. Here he is actually trolling; looking for a fight. He doesn't want to add anything to the discussion, just to stir up strife. I'd respond to his trolling, but for some reason, by the time I get to his comment, I am not allowed to post a comment in response to him.
I'm not sure why, so I'll just post in response to you.
