    So let's see Granholm give up 100% of her salary, and then we'll ask for the legislature to do the same.

    Because I think your fundamental premise may be correct - people who want to be politicians should be doing it for the good of the state, not the good of their pocket books.

    So let's remove the $170k salary from the Governor, let her set the standard.  Otherwise, your cries are just crocodile tears.
