Do you own a home?  Do you know the keep-you-awake-at-night feeling of not knowing when the value of your home will stop plummeting?  I've lost 10 years of equity in my home, thanks in no small part to The Captain of The Ship and Blower Away in Five Years-er, Jennifer Granholm. Keep raising those taxes, driving businesses out of the State and ratcheting up the unemployment rate and pretty soon, I won't be able to give it away.

You can point your finger at the Republicans and blame the tax increase on them all you want.  The simple fact is that there was no other choice.  The business community would have been killed by an idiotic tax that would have cost more to collect than it would have raised.  The Democrats in the House again left everything to the last minute and then some, before they acted.  It's called the lesser of two evils.
