~ Promoted by JGillman - Welcome Chairman! ~
Last weekend, while Michiganders were busy enjoying their weekend, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and the Democrats were using every procedural trick at their disposal to pass a $2.5 trillion government-run health care experiment that Michigan simply doesn't want. Michigan Democrats like Mark Schauer and Gary Peters are on board with Pelosi and her gamesmanship to pass the job killing measure even though Michigan consistently struggles with the highest unemployment rate in the country. While the Democrats claim their number one priority is the economy and creating jobs, we have yet to see it as they continue to push an unpopular job-killing health care bill down our throats. Every day they talked about health care over the past year, Representatives Schauer and Peters weren't talking about how to bring much-needed jobs to Michigan. The numbers are so mind-boggling, sometimes I wonder if they could even be right.
For some perspective, the entire budget for the State of Michigan in one year is about $45 billion. That is money for things like public education, prisons, and roads. In Washington, DC though that is chump change. First, in January of this year Congress passed a $787 billion "stimulus" bill. That bill spent money we don't have on everything from ant research to new toilets and on thousands of checks to dead people and convicted felons. Then, Congress passed President Obama's budget which calls for $9 trillion in NEW debt over ten years. That's a doubling of the already staggering $12 trillion national debt accumulated since America's founding. According to this budget, by 2020, each man, woman and child would owe $150,000 in debt.

Hello All,
Below you will find a letter that I wrote and sent to all my Congressional Representatives concerning the President's Health-Care bill. Click the video link "Blue Dog Dems fight Spread the Wealth" and see for yourself what the real purpose of the Health-Care bill is. Not to mention they are trying to add mandated Abortion into the bill. I encourage all to do as I did, write your Reps and tell them you do not support this extra Tax the rich to pay for the Governments massive spending Bill. Follow the Action Link "Write your Congress -Action Center-" where you can add your Zip and in just two minutes send an email to all your Reps at once. You can cut and paste my letter or change it if you wish. You can also write your own letter or cut and paste one that is on the site, "no writing required". "The Doctrine of Original Intent" As Always Thanks for being involved, Many Blessings, Shane
