    Welcome to Scoop!

To help you figure things out, there is a Scoop Admin Guide which can hopefully answer most of your questions.

    Some tips:

    • Most of the layout is changed in "Blocks", found in the admin tools menu
    • Features can be turned on and off, and configured, in "Site Controls" in the admin tools menu
    • Stories have an "edit" link right beside the "Full Story" link on an index page, and right beside the "Post a Comment" link on the full story page. They can also be edited by clicking the story title in the "Story List" admin tool
    • Boxes are what allow you to write new features for Scoop; they require a knowledge of the perl programming language to work with effectively, although you can often make small changes without knowing much perl. If you would like a feature added but cannot program it yourself, ScoopHost does custom Scoop programming as one of its services.
    • If you aren't sure where to look for a particular feature or piece of display, try the "Search Admin Tools" link in the admin tools menu.

The Judicial Tenure Commission has issued a public censure of Third Circuit Court Judge Wade H. McCree on Wednesday in response to the judge emailing a semi-nude photo of himself to a number of people in June 2010.

Among those who received the self-shot photo on her cell phone was a married female Wayne County Sheriff's Department deputy who worked as a bailiff in Wade's courtroom.
    ....

According to its website, the Judicial Tenure Commission serves to promote the integrity of the judicial process and preserve public confidence in the courts.

When JP Morgan Says Jump, Sen. Stabenow Says: How High?

Some recent development gives insight on why the Democratic Party loves "the poor" so much, and why they create so many of them.  Over at Breitbart's Big Government, they highlight a new GAI report that details how JP Morgan has made "at least $560,492,596" processing EBT cards in 75% of the 24 states they have under contract.  via Big Government

Indeed, JP Morgan's Christopher Paton told Bloomberg News that food stamps are big business for the big bank:

"We are the largest processor of food stamps in the country...[the EBT program] is a very important business to JP Morgan. It's an important business in terms of its size and scale.... Right now volumes have gone through the roof in the past couple of years or so. The good news from JP Morgan's perspective is the infrastructure that we built has been able to cope with that increase in volume."

While some may be glad that a private company-not a government agency-is tasked with EBT transactions, the GAI report reveals that JP Morgan does not use the same fraud detection systems commonly used by today's credit card companies.  In fact, federal and state agencies--not EBT processors--are the ones tasked with policing food stamp fraud.

Nice gig, eh?  JP Morgan lobbies Ag Committee Chair Sen. Debbie Stabenow, for their graft then those of us that are taxpayers also get to pay for the policing of JP Morgan's transaction processing.  Think not?

So how did EBT processors like JP Morgan land its lucrative half-billion dollars worth of contracts?

The GAI report, Profits From Poverty: How Food Stamps Make Corporations Money, says JP Morgan's political donations to members of the House and Senate Agriculture Committees (who oversee the food stamp program) skyrocketed once the bank entered the EBT market:

Between 1998 and 2002, JPMorgan's total contributions per election cycle averaged $82, 897. After JP Morgan entered the EBT services market until the 2010 election cycle, their average donation per cycle more than doubled to $215,120.... JPMorgan's donations to political campaigns also show a clear trend. During the 2008 election, Barack Obama received more than twice the contributions of John McCain: $807,000 for Obama compared to McCain's $345,505.

Today, one out of every seven people in America receive taxpayer-funded food stamps.

When it comes to funding campaigns, JP Morgan is Debbie Stabenow's third best friend.  Remember folks, the $500 billion Farm Bill that Sen. Stabenow, is now all of a sudden campaigning on while Arab Spring rages against America, is 80% EBT/SNAP money.  JP Morgan has paid Debbie handsomely for their share of that $400 million in food stamp monies her committee sent to the Senate floor.

What's a Food Stamp President Obama, to do?  Only one thing...

The Democrats love "the poor" so much that their policies create more of them duped into a lifestyle of government indenture.  As you see, even trinkets now buy folks freedom for only the price of their vote.

    Elections have consequences.

U.S. Rep. Pete Hoekstra answers a constituent question concerning an audit of the Federal Reserve, 4-30-09.
    Flashback 7-29-12:
The House approved Paul's Federal Reserve Transparency Act, H.R. 459, in a bipartisan 327-98 vote. The vote split Democrats almost evenly -- 89 for and 97 against -- while only one Republican, Rep. Robert Turner (R-N.Y.), voted against it.

Now, like John Kerry, Harry Reid was for it, before he is against it.
