  • Your New Scoop Site

    Welcome to Scoop!

To help you figure things out, there is a Scoop Admin Guide which can hopefully answer most of your questions.

    Some tips:

    • Most of the layout is changed in "Blocks", found in the admin tools menu
    • Features can be turned on and off, and configured, in "Site Controls" in the admin tools menu
    • Stories have an "edit" link right beside the "Full Story" link on an index page, and right beside the "Post a Comment" link on the full story page. They can also be edited by clicking the story title in the "Story List" admin tool
    • Boxes are what allow you to write new features for Scoop; they require a knowledge of the perl programming language to work with effectively, although you can often make small changes without knowing much perl. If you would like a feature added but cannot program it yourself, ScoopHost does custom Scoop programming as one of its services.
    • If you aren't sure where to look for a particular feature or piece of display, try the "Search Admin Tools" link in the admin tools menu.

Balding Silver Ponytail Prosecutor Stirs Zimmerman pot Sharts on MI Law

Noticed in today's detnews.com, Neal Rubin has taken up the Eric Holder mantle (so shocked) with finding an aging long-haired government paycheck shyster county prosecutor (seriously, get a load of the hair) to pop off about Michigan's Stand Your Ground Law signed by Gov. Jennifer Granholm D-lighted she's in California.

Had George Zimmerman shot Trayvon Martin in Michigan, the outcome of the trial would have been different.

    ....

But the case, says William Cataldo, "would not have played out the way it did."

    ....

Not here, says Cataldo, the chief of homicide for the Macomb County Prosecutors Office. In Michigan, by statute and by precedent, "If you are the aggressor in a fight, you cannot then claim self defense when you use deadly force."

We'll never know who actually shoved or punched first on a rainy night in Sanford, Fla. In this jurisdiction, it wouldn't matter.

After prosecutors and defense attorneys finished lobbing pretrial motions at one another, Cataldo says, "it's clear that a defendant who acted as Mr. Zimmerman did would be defined as the aggressor."

Besides William Cataldo talking out his a$$ about our Law in comparison to Florida's Law.  Why yes, how dare George batter Trayvon's fists with his nose, then make poor li'l Tray sit on his chest while George bashed the back of his skull repeatedly onto a sidewalk.  Clearly, that would be "defined as the aggressor" by... Cataldo's office.  Yannow, after a cursory once over of William Cataldo's background, the following quote is fitting and appropriate.

"The function of the law is not to provide justice or to preserve freedom. The function of the law is to keep those who hold power, in power." - Gerry Spence

That's about how it's working these days...

A story about a boy's camp to "redefine gender".

    http://www.slate.com/blogs/behold/2013/07/15/_you_are_you_looks_at_a_gender_nonconforming_camp_for_b oys_photos.html

Below is a little boy dressed up as a girl. They have these little boys pose and dance on stage in the camp.

There will one day be an accounting for people who sexually abuse little children in such a manner. I will leave it that.

Indeed.  And, the stupid normalize it for the Left.

    H/t RAMZPAUL

In 1971, homosexual activist Frank Kameny worked with the Gay Liberation Front collective to demonstrate against the APA's convention. At the 1971 conference, Kameny grabbed the microphone and yelled, "Psychiatry is the enemy incarnate. Psychiatry has waged a relentless war of extermination against us. You may take this as a declaration of war against you."

    The Detroit News

Detroit - Former Michigan Supreme Court Justice Diane Hathaway shouldn't spend a day in federal prison, her lawyer said Monday, despite admitting she orchestrated an elaborate two-year scheme to defraud her bank of $600,000 owed on a Grosse Pointe Park home.
    ....

Fishman questioned sending Hathaway to prison. "She has lost a job she loved [keeps her SCOMI pension], and given up her law and real estate licenses," he wrote.

"She has been publicly humiliated ... the societal value of sending Ms. Hathaway to prison is dubious at best."

Hathaway used her position in society to fraud it.  What a despicable shyster.

Why not $20 or $50 an Hour?

Kevyn Orr has a lifetime job in the Culture of Detoilet.

Workers at a fast food restaurant on Detroit's east side have walked off the job as part of an effort to push for higher wages.

Detroit pastor Charles Williams II says workers want $15 and hour, better working conditions and the right to unionize. The one-day protest starting Friday morning at a McDonald's on the 10000 block of Gratiot is one of about 50 that organizers say they've planned around Detroit.

The D15 campaign says many workers make $7.40 an hour or just above it.

Fire every damn one of them for walking off.  They're at an inflated wage as it is for saying, "want fries with that?"

Matter of fact, send ICE to check their legal status in Detoilet, too.

Yannow, when my minimal scheduled 53 hour workweek was the norm, I sure would've loved to have this option available.

The Republican-led House on Wednesday approved a measure that would give private sector workers the option of trading overtime pay for extra time off weeks or months later.

The bill, approved on a 223-204 vote, would allow employees who work more than 40 hours a week to save up to 160 hours of earned time off for future use. GOP lawmakers say they want to give busy working parents at private firms the same flexibility that public sector workers have to take time off to spend with their children or care for aging parents.

Busy parents?  Feh.  Whatever.  An extra 20 days of vacay banked away sounds good in most anyone's book.  But, of course, like pending doom, the Progressives have to opine.

Democrats say it's not fair to compare the legislation to similar flexibility that is offered to public sector employees because many government workers are unionized and have civil service protections against potential abuse by employers.

See that?  You're just too stupid to carve out your own swath in life.  Only the DNC Progressives, bureaucrats in the hive mentality of Mother Government, and Goonions can save you peons from yourself.  And we pay their wages, and retirements?  Insanity.

Amash, Benishek, Bentivolio, Camp, Huizenga, Miller, Rogers, Upton, and Walberg, thank you for voting YES on this legislation.

    Note: Gary Peters voted NO.
