...because the hole just isn't deep enough yet.

Matt Frendewey, a spokesman for the state Republican Party, issued the following comment:

"Bipartisan law enforcement offices across the state have reviewed and closed the issue involving Speaker Bolger. Today's one man grand jury is another attempt by Democrats to wage their partisan war by abusing tax dollars. It's shameful that the Democratic Party, which refuses to vote for a balanced budget or common sense job creating reforms, focuses all of its efforts and resources toward a political witch-hunt rather than addressing the real concerns facing Michigan's middle class families.

"Job creators and hardworking taxpayers across Michigan deserve more from the Democratic Party than political witch hunts and political attacks."

Schmidt could not be immediately reached for comment on the decision.

Dude {facepalm}, it is "closed the issue" that is what is being investigated.  Nobody likes a cover up.  Nobody.

Memo to Matt: I do not envy your job, then again, I've always enjoyed being able to look at myself in the mirror when shaving.  Have at it kid, but really, the commies not balancing a budget?  Job creating reforms?  JenniRick Snydholm has two balanced budgets under his slovenly, tieless attired belt, so who are you trying to kid?  Oy!  Apples to apples must be a matter of convenience to operatives in the MI-GOP.

Either way, this has been a monument to stupidity and selfishness of all involved to allow this to continue on 69 days before an election that may change the course of our state and nation - forever.
