If I recall 2008 correctly Teh Won claimed he was sent to the White House with a mandate to fundamentally transform America, and he received 52.9% of the vote.

    Totally rebuked.

    If the unofficial results . . . (none / 0) (#11)

. . . of Senate District 21 survive the certification process and a potential recount (779 ÷ 71,731 ≈ 1.086%), then the nasty reality of that outcome means that, until this November at least, the Wisconsin State Senate is temporarily under Democrat control (if only by a one-vote margin).

The unions and the democrats are doing their level best to spin this into a "message" sent to Republican elected executives everywhere that divisive, partisan attacks on working class folks wouldn't be tolerated.  I'm looking at republican landslides in 3 of 4 state senate races and 6-to-7 point margins in the executive races, and I'm thinking that these jackasses don't get it.

Scott Walker (R-WI) is only the third governor in U. S. history to have had to stand for a recall election.  Unlike Lynn Frazier (R-ND), recalled October 28, 1921, and Gray Davis (D-CA), recalled October 7, 2003, Walker survived the attempt on him.  And now I'm thinking about the advise of Niccolò Machiavelli, Ralph Waldo Emerson, and even John Yob, paraphrased to wit:  If you're going to go after the king, you'd better get him.

    Yup, Wisconsin's in play now.
