I work for a Representative that consistently votes no on all of this corporate welfare stuff so I can't explain why it happens.

The only point to my comment is that this specific vote is different from all the others.  This vote is reducing corporate welfare, not creating more, and yet the main post made it seem like the Senate was handing out millions of dollars of taxpayer money.  That's just not the case.

There was an already approved $100 million give out approved last session.  This bill simply reduces that to $50 million.

My boss always votes against corporate welfare but if this bill comes up for a vote in the House he'll probably vote yes because it is a reduction.

I don't have a problem with the criticisms of corporate welfare in general, I just think it was misplaced with this bill.
