While in many cases, the very same eco-activist folks would like us to pay 2x for our power "just in case" the earth is affected by CO2 released by man, they would rather not assume there is a possibility that they could be wrong as to where life begins.  Not assuming you are lefty, just saying of all the things that should carry the "just-in-case" label..  

It's not a religious argument, although a large number of those who are on the right side here happen to be Catholics and Evangelical Protestants. Is murder wrong? I have many libertarian leanings on matters. There is also a libertarian argument to abortion.

One central thing that most libertarians agree on when governing is the use of force against others. It factors into many of its Jeffersonian and Lockean beliefs. Is the initiation of use of force from one being against another to be regulated?
