      but it was not stipulated in the MI constitution as other US Supreme decisions have been.

      I would surmise there is nothing preventing anyone from acquiring property, so equal protection might be re-argued.

      But the main problem with your argument is that the case involved actual elections of board members, and the underlying operations of the board, and not ad valorem taxes being extracted from property owners for specific (bonds and special) millages.
