      . . . but I'm hearing a rather persistent rumor that the Nerd King threatened to primary the Senate Republican Caucus Leadership who opposed the Medicaid Expansion, and personally recruit their primary challengers.  The leaders in question:

      • Tonya Schuitmaker (R, District 20: Lawton) President Pro Tempore
      • Arlan Meekhof (R, District 30: West Olive) Majority Floor Leader
      • Rick Jones (R, District 24: Grand Ledge) Majority Caucus Chair
      • Jack Brandenburg (R, District 11: Harrison Township) Majority Whip
      • Phil Pavlov (R, District 25: St. Clair) Assistant Majority Floor Leader
      • Patrick Colbeck (R, District 7: Canton) Assistant Majority Caucus Chair
      • Darwin Booher (R, District 35: Evart) Assistant Majority Whip

      . . . and if that's the case (as I said, I haven't been able to verify it anywhere on the record), then not only is the Nerd King being downright disingenuous relative to Thursday's press conference, if not outright hypocritical, but he's also just dropped another turd into the well of the party brand.

      Fine by me; that's seven names we can throw into the hopper from which we'll select the 72 seats that we'll target for network resources, and one more reason to make damn sure Snyder's gotta spend down his resources between now and August of next year.
