During debate on a resolution establishing the Senate's future schedule, state Sen. Bert Johnson criticized the Republican majority for failing to take a vote, saying they embarassed the governor.

"This Republican caucus has made him look weak and ineffective in the eyes of most residents of this state," Johnson said on the floor.
