There also was a financial settlement that O'Reilly said Monday was confidential. And, part of the settlement was the city agreeing to remove a press release from its website in which O'Reilly was critical of the men. [Oh my, brutal]

"At the end of the day, it made the most sense" to settle, he said, because the jury didn't find there were grounds for police to arrest the men. He also said it wasn't in the city's best interest to go to trial.
