Thanks for the heads up, Kevin.
If the rumor of the slap down of the various Liberty movement representatives does indeed come to pass, it may well prove to be the catalyst for the oft-threatened third party birth, starting right here in Right Michigan. As you stated, the mechanism is already in place, and the 30,000 statewide signature requirement is a foregone conclusion. It took Gary Glenn supporters about 6 weeks to collect 27k, and I'm confident we'd have twice as many boots on the ground for a 3rd Party party.
Believe me, that one is cocked and loaded, and there's a hair trigger between a MRP on the mend and lots of elite blueblood on the floor.
If Schostak does act in the fashion you described, it will have proved at least one of two things to me and philosophical allies of mine spread far and wide in Michigan.
One of those being that either the Lt. Governor was blowing smoke up the collective behinds of the Courser leadership team prior to the announcement of the results of the Chairman's race, and/or that Chairman Schostak didn't get the message sent from the MRP base on Saturday, and has gone rogue.
Although, there is a third, but considerably less likely possibility- now that I think about it more. Maybe, and just maybe, the Executive Office and Schostak didn't get the message, or think that the Liberty movement would have nowhere to go on Election Day, and like it or not, will still vote against the Democrats.
If the last scenario is in fact reality, I believe that would be grounds for Snyder losing his Nerd card, because that would be evidence of pure, unadulterated ignorance. And especially when you consider the widespread apathy for Mitt last November.
