Your response is entirely inapposite to anything that I said.  I said that we can get an extraordinarily good justice out of a trial judge, and that is precisely what we have in Mary Beth Kelly -- an extraordinarily good Justice.  To bring up a pre-election decision of the Court of Appeals and say that that one decision taints everything else is pretty absurd.  That is old news,  Perhaps it should have been (or was) examined in the 2010 election, but at this point we don't have to look to decisions like that to judge what type of Justice MB Kelly is because she has a record on the MSC.

I would also submit that one bad decision as a trial judge does not a bad judge make.  If you want to really examine a person's record, you can't just look at one decision.  And while some decisions may be very telling, you need to look at the person's body of work, and I would submit that MB Kelly's body of work (as both a Justice and as a circuit judge before that) demonstrates that she is a Rule of Law judge.

But back to my original point, why we are having a debate about the merits and demerits of Justice Kelly's record in 2012 is a bit beyond me.  People need to look at Colleen O'Brien's and Jane Markey's records themselves.
