      Judge Markey has raised virtually no money.  How does she expect to compete in a state-wide race with no funds?  Yes, the party will lend some support and there will probably be an initial influx of money from bid donors to the nominee, regardless of whether that person is either O'Brien or Markey.  But for someone to be saying that she will be a credible candidate able to take that third MSC seat in the election, she should have already raised a not-insignificant amount of money.  Markey has the least of anyone from the two parties running for MSC this year.  Setting questions of judicial philosophy aside for a moment, based purely on electoral prospects, that is frightening.
