      Title 14 of the CFRs (also known as the Federal Aviation Regulations to my peers in aviation) is ginormous, but guess what, if I violated something I didn't know about, I would still get called to the mat over it.

      So guess what? I actually educate myself and read the damned CFR.

      It would seem to me that someone running for office would educate themselves (or hire an attorney) on the related legal factors for getting into said office. I really don't think mens rea applies.
