      . . . I filed to run as PD in my precinct in Kentwood.  I ran unopposed and pulled in 219 votes.  My then-girlfriend ran in her Kentwood precinct (not the same one) against three challengers and finished in first place by a 33-vote margin (including soundly trouncing her ex-boyfriend by a margin of 91 votes).

      The following November, the gathered precinct delegates of my county commission district unanimously elected me as their District Representative to the Kent GOP Executive Committee.

      And my wife and I (now in the same precinct) are both running for election as PD this year.

      Fortunately, the formula that the Kent GOP is using allows for two delegates per precinct.

      ...just because you're a PD, doesn't mean that you won't face the same problems.

      The elites just don't like losing power.
