I do not like George Soros. His values are not my own, he fails to conduct himself in accordance with the liberal values he claims to support, and he attempts to wield political influence through campaign donations in areas that believe are inappropriate for him to be involved. However, I do not believe that he is the puppetmaster of the Democratic party and have yet to see any credible evidence to the contrary.

As to this specific theory concerning Soros, it is unsupported even if you use the assumption that Soros is the puppetmaster of the Democratic party, because there is no evidence that this action benefits Soros in any way.
