has done much more to help tea party types get a voice in government than the "establishment" Rs who would put a flip floppper like Romney on the ballot.

out of 1.5 million folks who traveled to DC 9-12-2009, ill bet a high percent dont want a Romney primary win.  Freedom works was a very important organizing element that helped make that under reported event the success it was.  In the end we all carried home the idea that we don't have to "settle" for the status quo appeaser.  If Romney really wants to help tea party values, he backs off, goes back to business and picks a real conservative to endorse.  Bachmann, Cain, Palin, perhaps?  I know I am leaving out Paul, but I cannot get over his foreign policy, though I would gladly see him over Romney.  As for Perry, that little thing about mandating a product to be used?  Ick.

And probably lots of other places as well. Looks like that well funded Romney staff is keeping busy.

...the US Senate Race here in Michigan?

I read through Jason's comments along with Mr. Glenn's comments several times and couldn't come up with a connection.

      Well, dnlchisholm?

So far, unlike Hoekstra, these candidates don't have any skeletons in their closet (which I've found yet, anyway) that should automatically prelude them from running for office.

Yes, certain endorsements don't exactly help their campaign (read: Anuzis), but until that candidate has done something that runs counter to what we believe in, I say let them make their case here.

The only caveat I would include is that any other candidate should be required to at least drop in and respond to any comments and questions made after they post.

Unless they only want to use this site only as a platform for distributing press releases (which should be made very clear upfront to those of us reading it), I don't expect the almost real-time back & forth that happens from time to time.

But the posting here and ignoring everyone else afterwards doesn't exactly help enhance our view of them.
