      I didn't know him well, but I've met him a few times. He's lucky he's not in prison with a felony on his record. He still should probably start lifting weights. I'm amazed at all the bad checks too. That didn't make a lot of friends.

      This guy had a real bright future until this point. However for 5K, this guy destroyed his reputation, his name, his political future, and probably a lot of future employment opportunities on any level for being untrustworthy. That will follow him for the rest of his life. If I did that stuff, I'd also lose my law license and my political consulting business in addition to all of the above.

      It's not hard to get caught. Line up check numbers. Cancelled checks. Debit card/atm if you use one. Bank record withdraws. There's paper trails for all of it. I also think with tea party groups being more active, there will be more oversight on things.
