      It can hardly be called revisionist to say that the man is very well-respected around Detroit.

      I didn't read it but I know what you are driving at. And the fact is, even if Lutz was only responsible for product development he still oversaw some horrendous vehicles that directly led to GM's bankruptcy (see: Aztec, Pontiac). Yes, they started coming out with better vehicles later in the decade, but by then it was far too late.

      Ultimately, was Lutz a far more competent executive than Wagoner, Young et al....of course he was. But I think him getting zero blame for GM's collapse that is complete BS. He was still a part of the culture that led to their demise.
